MPISSN 14th Annual Golf Tournament
The golf committee is pleased to announce that our annual golf event will be held at Whitney Oaks Golf Club. The club is undergoing a one million dollar renovation project including a remodel of the club house, course improvements, new golf carts, and landscaping.
If you don’t know the definition of an eagle, birdie, bogey, or a scramble or best ball format, or a mulligan, yips, dogleg, or a gimme—we bet you know the definition of the “Nineteenth Hole.” If you don’t know that, the “Nineteenth Hole” is the clubhouse bar at the end of the round, then you need to come out and play in our annual chapter golf tournament. Golfers and non-golfers alike are welcome to join us in May for a day of fun and competition.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: We are introducing a new fun and exciting format that promises the opportunity to make eagles, birdies, and pars. All Foursomes will play off the Forward Tee in a scramble format. All players will get two mulligans, three hand wedges, and two power drives. No minimum tee shots per player are required, whiffs don’t count as a stroke, and no holes scored higher than a double bogey are allowed. The whole purpose of this format is to have experienced players shoot the best scores of their lifetime, and for the inexperienced players to have fun without intimidation.
